Second Season Starts Soon
Hartlepool HEAT will begin only our second and probably toughest season so far on Sunday 9th September 2007 with two home fixtures. After an excellent debut season last year by all the squads The HEAT will be looking to continue our excellent development and build on our third place finish in the Durham League Ladies Division 1, second place finish in the Men’s Teesside Division 1 and runners up in the Men’s Teesside Cup Final. Also this season The HEAT have added another new team which will play in Division Two in the Teesside League and will help bring through the very talented new and younger members of the club. Although called HEAT ‘B’ this is by far no means a second string of players but a combination of youth and experience which will help develop our players and give them very valuable court time experience. The squad includes the very experienced Mxolisi Ndlovu, Women’s captain Pam Fisher and has a wealth of young raw talent including Lewis Fisher, Rocky Gardner and Joe Davison. The team is organised and captained by Dave Carless.
Something else new this season is the huge experience our U16 Girls will receive by competing at National League Level. Although playing under the Gateshead Storm banner, the training sessions are split between Hartlepool and Gateshead and 70% of the squad is made up from The HEAT U16’s so we look forward to their success and wish them good luck. We will be keeping you up to date with their progress.
