HEAT Ladies Sitting Pretty At The Top
Hartlepool HEAT Ladies find themselves top of the Durham League Division 1 going into the Christmas break after another great start to a season.
A four game winning streak was snapped by the current Champions Tyneside, but HEAT showed what they are capable of and bounced back, handing defeats out to Norton and Sunderland Uni who both pushed HEAT till the final buzzer. Norton showed much improvement from previous years and were no pushover and the Sunderland Uni game was re-arranged at short notice due to Hornets Ladies cancelling a week before HEAT were due to host them, Hornets have also cancelled the arranged fixture for February for the second time in as many seasons. These two Hartlepool teams are still to meet in any competition.
HEAT’s final game of 2007 was due to be Nunthorpe Bruins who were runners up to Tyneside in both the League and the County Cup last season and since then have added the very experienced Sarah Hindmarch. However due to unforeseen circumstances the game had to be postponed and is more than likely to be re-arranged in the New Year. We thank Nunthorpe and the League for their co-operation.

The Ladies now take a well earned break but return to action on Sunday 6th January 2008 when they take on
Biddick Titans in the first round of the County Cup with a 3:15pm Tipp off.
The Men will host Wear Valley Warriors at 5:15pm
Both games will be at Manor College Of Technology.
