Teams from Hartlepool, Middlesbrough and Darlington all took part in what proved to be a great day with high a standard of basketball from all teams. The morning started with a coaching session from some of the coaches and players from Tees Valley Mohawks and then in the afternoon the tournament began.

HEAT entered four teams in two categories, two under 14 Boys and two over 14 Girls and although the competition was fierce HEAT were just to HOT to handle with HEAT 1 Girls going the whole day un-defeated to finish overall winners and HEAT 2 Girls only losing one game and drawing one to finish a respectable 3rd. The Boys matched the Girls as HEAT 1 were overall winners with just one defeat while the HEAT 2 Boys also managed a 3rd place finish avoiding defeat all day. Coach Anth chose Laura Howe as HEAT Girls MVP and Lewis Fisher as HEAT boys MVP for their hard work, dedication and leadership skills to their team throughout the whole day. The tournament was a huge success and as always we represented to the fullest!
