Sunderland University 67 Vs Hartlepool HEAT 82
HEAT Pass University Test
Hartlepool HEAT picked up their second win of the season against a quick athletic Sunderland Uni team. The Hartlepool side travelled to the state of the art City Space Centre in Sunderland which is to be used for a training base for the Olympics.
A great game of basketball endured as HEAT took a good lead only for the un-known Sunderland team to hit back.
Anthony Robinson and Ryon Dixon hit some long 3-pointers to give HEAT the edge while Sunderland attacked from the inside through their two big men.
Sunderland switched to a man-man defence to stop the Hartlepool outside shooting which had a knock on effect in HEATs tactics and caused the home side more problems though as Graeme Errington and Phill Thomas helped themselves to easy points inside against much smaller defenders.
The introduction of Graham Ord in to the game gave HEAT another go to guy and as Ord continuously glided to the basket on his way to a fantastic 22-point personal haul HEAT where on their way to their second straight win of the season.
Scorers: Graham Ord 22, Anthony Robinson 18, Graeme Errington 14
