East Durham 87 Vs Hartlepool HEAT 57
East Durham Too Strong For HEAT
HEAT travelled to Peterlee to take on East Durham in what turned out to be a very poor show from the Hartlepool side.
East Durham who are looking like possible title contenders this year have acquired a very strong team and made easy work of HEAT.
East Durham took the first quarter 20-16 with only Sean McKenzie and Anthony Robinson doing any damage for HEAT.
The second quarter was evens at 20-20 as HEAT upped their tempo with Graham Ord and Robinson combining leaving HEAT only down 5 at half time.
The third was HEATs worst quarter but East Durham’s finest as they hit HEAT on the fast break and defended well while HEAT struggled to score and get any sort of consistency going.
HEAT improved marginally in the fourth but Easy Durham’s lead was too great and finished the game going through the motions and took a comfortable win.
Hartlepool will now look to their next couple of Durham League games to get their season up and running.
Scorers: Anthony Robinson 21, Marc Taylor 10
