HEAT Defeat Vikings in Battle!
After a great win against Leeds, the Boys felt more settled and comfortable and also had the added bonus of being able to watch York play Leeds and identify their key players and plays.
HEAT stormed in to a 19-9 commanding first quarter lead with Macaulay Novak and Captain Jonny Davies in outstanding form.
York upped their game in the second quarter but HEAT still held an 11-point lead at half time thanks to Novak and Jonathon Mee.
The Vikings struggled to get past the HEAT’s defence in the third, as Ryan McKenzie was impossible to beat by York’s star player, M.Ross.
As HEAT tired York scored more openly and to make things worse, HEAT reached team fouls giving away 15 free throws to York allowing them right back in the game.
With 2 minutes remaining York only trailed by 6, but Jonny Davies stepped up again as he did in the first game and with back-to-back baskets made the win more comfortable for his team.
