Hartlepool HEAT Vs CJ Pumas 28
HEAT started strong, scoring some good baskets and denying the Pumas scoring for the first 8 minutes of the game. In doing so first quarter ended 18-7 with HEAT able to rotate payers to keep legs fresh.
In the second quarter HEAT continued to dominate the game with some great baskets from Pam Fisher helping to keep HEAT in a great position with a commanding 30-16 half time lead
In the third quarter, the Puma’s applied intensive defensive pressure against the HEAT players which helped them to get steals and turnovers leading to their most points per quarter for them during the game
As hard as Pumas worked though HEAT still had a very comfortable lead after such a fantastic first half performance.
Although the game was over the HEAT didn’t slow down in the last quarter and Rachel Campbell and Jenna Horsley combined for some excellent baskets while the rest of the team denied the entire C.j Pumas team from scoring during the whole last quarter.
Trina Fenny was voted the games MVP for an outstanding all round performance.

This was a fantastic team performance from the Hartlepool HEAT Ladies who will now leapfrog two teams into second place in the league. The Ladies travel to Biddick to take on the Storm on Wednesday night looking for a win that could see them go top!
