HEAT dominated the first quarter stopping Biddick from getting into double figures, which helped HEAT take an early lead thanks to some excellent breaks from Trina Fenny and Jenna Horsely.
In the second quarter, Biddick picked up their game and put HEAT under a lot of pressure, managing to capitalise on some defensive mistakes by HEAT. This didn’t dishearten HEAT however as they continued to attack the Titans defence. This was also the closest quarter between the two sides and it proved to be one of the most entertaining of the match.
HEAT soon found the form that helped them dominate in the first quarter as they regained control of the game and took a resounding lead. Baskets from Stacey Dougherty and Rachel Campbell saw HEAT regain their confident lead and stop Biddick from attacking the basket.
HEAT closed the match with a good final quarter, with some good baskets from Laura Howe and Jess Coates. Some great performances from Hazel Robinson and Sharon Weatherill saw HEAT go on to end the match with the final score at a comfortable 62 – 38.
