Heat started the brightest with a five of Horsely, Dougherty, Boyd, Parker and Hitchings although it was Nunthopre who scored first.
It wasn’t until a minute later that Horsley and Boyd gave HEAT the lead with an excellent combination.
The 1st quarter was fast paced and the lead changed hand a few times up until the 7th minute when HEAT took control of the game and lead by 3.
HEAT missed easy chances in the 2nd and could have wrapped up the game but Barron clawed Bruins back into the game with 12 personal points giving the visitors a 1 point lead at half-time.
HEAT started playing some great basketball in the 3rd and with Hitchings and Parker combining well they managed to regain the lead by the end of the 4th.
Another strong quarter from both teams and the game could have easily gone either way. Barron was outstanding for Bruins but with 1 minute left HEAT had a 3-point lead. Pate managed to score for Nunthorpe and a controlled play from Barron gave Bruins the win by 1.
