HEAT were looking to bounce back after two straight defeats but with a 15 point deficit and 2 key players missing things weren’t going to be easy. Biddick scored first and took a lead of 17-0 before an excellent play by Fenny followed by two free throws from Horsley and Hitchings making a long 3 cutting the gap to 14 points.
Biddick started the 2nd brighter and with Sturrock and Blackman linking up well HEAT needed lifting. An excellent run by Horsley and great shooting from Hitchings pulled HEAT to within 3-points going into half-time.

HEAT came out for the 3rd fired up and two fast breaks from Parker and great shooting from Hitchings give HEAT a short 2-point lead 37-35 before Copper for Biddick sank an easy two, to tie the game. Two three throws was the opportunity HEAT needed to keep the fight back alive but they didn’t drop. Biddick used this to their advantage and went on a 7-0 run. HEAT responded through Parker and Horsley but another run from Biddick this time a 10-0 one had HEAT trailing by 3 again come the 4th.
The 4th was an excellent quarter as both teams played good team basketball. HEAT managed to edge in front again in the 5th minute with a long 3 from Dougherty but again it was short lived as Biddick who were running the floor well hit straight back with 4 unanswered points. Then there was another change in the lead as Hitchings sank two free throws and Horsley scoring strong under the basket gave HEAT a 1-point lead with less than 1-minute remaining. Within that time Biddick managed a 6-2 point run again as HEAT who all game had to fight back from a 15-point deficit ran out of steam.
