HEAT signs up to Hartlepool Sporting Association!

Hartlepool HEAT can confirm that they have signed an agreement to join The Hartlepool Sporting Association (HSA) The HSA is a Hartlepool College Of Further Education (http://www.hartlepoolfe.ac.uk/) project that will be funded primarily by HCFE with other investment being sourced from private and government organisations. HSA will act as the umbrella organisation for a range of sports clubs exhibiting exceptional practice from across Hartlepool. This combined approach will help clubs develop in terms of quality of performance, coaching facilities and equipment as well as increasing the quantity of players at all levels.

There are six inaugural members of the HSA:

Membership to this organisation is not exclusive, however it is invitational and membership criteria must be achieved before this process can happen. Hartlepool HEAT are delighted to be part of this new project and believe it is the start of something that can only take sport forward as a whole across Hartlepool.

Club Secretary Anthony Robinson said ‘ To be invited to come onboard from the start is an honour for the club and just goes to show that our hard work over the past 3 years is being recognised by not just the Basketball community but the people of Hartlepool and other organisations. We look forward to working together with HCFE and the HSA and we will work very hard to promote and act as ambassadors to this organisation’

The official Launch Party is scheduled for Friday 16th October 2009 at Rovers Rugby Club and will be a formal dinner with compare, comedian and live music along with sporting celebrities past and present and guest speaker and HSA honorary president, Rory Underwood MBE. The club will be given a table for the evening and may look to give a few seats to potential sponsors or current partners.

Extra tickets will be on sale for £25 per person.

The HSA hopes that from the evening they can attract major sponsors and companies who may want to sign up and be part of the HSA.
